![]() I'm sure I'm missing something which is really simple, but I don't know what. I tried to create myself a brush but either it's not the right thing to do, either I did not do it properly, I tried to set my layer on "substract depth" instead of "add depth" but it didn't work, I tried to set the depth to negative numbers without satisfying results (looks like you cannot go under 0% of depth in 3D coat so yeah it didn't work). I find how to give the illusion that something pop out, but I cannot find how to "dig" in the normal map, to give the illusion of something a bit deep. If the shader file is marked as 'Outdated', it is recommended to update it when possible. The Undo/Redo stack for the shader is independent from the main History to not create conflicts when painting. ![]() The exercice is to do the details (rivets, cockpit details, screw, things like that) of a plane on 3D coat by modifying the normal map. This section of the Shader Settings window controls the main parameters when manipulating shaders. Try choosing the first icon in depth channel and draw a bit, then opt for square with texture and draw. ![]() If you set the texture for diffuse channel, bear in mind that the texture alpha-channel is used as additional mask when laying color. Better alphas import routine, it detects if rgb alpha is actually greyscale and. 3D Coat is a popular cross platform 3D application for voxel based sculpting, UV mapping, retopology, texture, rendering and more. 3DCoat is one of the most advanced 3D creation suites for creating and painting 3D models. I have an exercice to do for school using 3D coat but I have some difficulties. Pressing the folder icon allows you to set another texture in corresponding channel for the current material. First, sorry for my bad English, it's highly difficult to express myself about such a accurate topic but I do my best to be understandable.
